Description
Detective Camera is an AI-powered camera for interactive storytelling. Press the shutter and it captures the scene in front of you, identifies the objects and details in the photo, and uses those real visual clues to invent a small fictional mystery that is both logically coherent and engaging.
Through on-screen expressions, detective-style voice narration and a thermal printer, it acts out the whole process of observing, thinking, deducing and producing a case file, turning an ordinary photo into a detective report you can take with you. It does not try to establish the truth about the real world. Instead, it turns the often-overlooked objects of everyday life into a lighthearted, believable and imaginative game of deduction.
The project explores an idea: when AI becomes a creative partner, technical barriers no longer have to define our limits. Anyone can turn a seemingly far-fetched idea into a tangible object, one that can take pictures, think, speak and even print out a paper case file. It is a gift for everyone with wild ideas who has ever dreamed of being a great detective.
The camera's exterior was modeled with the Tripo API, and the project also uses GPT-6.
