Description

Echoes of Eden is a 3D exploration narrative game built around the idea of "a world as a gift." It asks: if we are destined to disappear one day, what could we leave for someone we may never meet? In Eden, the people who once lived there are gone. Instead of wealth, they preserved what they loved (wind, water, flowers, roads, ruins, stories and memories) and shaped it into a world that can be explored. You are the "later traveler" this gift has been waiting for.

Choose one of five travelers and enter a world centered on the World Tree. The main journey leads through Courage Ruins, Farewell Lake and Hope Garden, three spiritual gifts: Courage, the strength to keep moving forward; Farewell, the ability to accept loss without erasing the past; and Hope, the choice to plant something beautiful for a future you may never live to see. Twelve Memory Echoes are scattered across the world. Using Memory Resonance, you uncover fragments of everyday lives and final messages. Different characters respond to the same memories in different ways, while Random Echo Mode reshuffles exploration targets and invites you to revisit the world.

When the three gifts are returned to the World Tree, Eden's meaning is revealed: those who came before could not leave themselves to the future, so they left behind what they loved, and ultimately their world. The ending does not stop the journey. You can keep exploring, because after the revelation you are no longer simply completing tasks; you are experiencing the gift itself. The game is about connection across time: even people who never meet can still leave something meaningful for one another. "They could not leave themselves to the future, so they left you their world."

The World Tree, characters, ruins, landmarks and environmental props were created as 3D assets with Tripo, then refined and brought into Unity through retopology, rigging, collision setup and scene assembly. The game is built with Unity 6 and URP; Mixamo helped adapt rigs and animations for some of the humanoid characters, and WorkBuddy assisted with debugging and with synthesizing the music and sound effects. It plays in the browser.

How Tripo was used

Tripo is one of the core production tools behind this world: a large number of its 3D assets were generated quickly with Tripo from text or image concepts, then brought into Unity.

  • Landmarks and ruins: the World Tree, Courage Ruins, the Broken Sky Bridge and the Watch Ruins.
  • Characters: all five playable travelers.
  • Environment assets: mushrooms, crystals, rocks and more.
  • In Unity, the author then adjusted scale and handled retopology, rigging, animation fitting, materials and collisions.

In the author's words, Tripo was not just a helper but took part directly in producing the core characters, landmarks and environment assets. Together with Unity and AI coding tools, it formed a complete workflow from concept to model to interactive world, letting a solo developer build a world you can truly walk through and explore in a short time.
