Description

Squish First is a browser toy box that cures work mode, made as a gift for office workers and every soul who has survived "let's circle back." The home screen is a desk messier than yours: four chubby characters wait in cards to be poked, and sticky notes full of office jargon ("It's a simple change," "Ten minutes, it'll be quick") keep raining down for you to slap flat. The desk even tracks how much stress you've relieved (everything × 347; it's science). No productivity tips, no pep talks, just a tiny world to hide in and catch your breath. When work hits, squish back.

Every character works with four toys:

  • Squash it: poke dents in it, fling it, and watch it flatten on landing and puff back up.
  • Wobble it: one flick and it jiggles, less stable than your Monday mood.
  • Tear it: grab a piece, pull hard and rip it off, or tap anywhere to blow it up.
  • Pump it: inflate it until it fills the screen, let go, and watch it zip around, shrinking like your wallet at month's end.

The built-in characters have voices; mash them and they glitch. The best part is "drop a photo, squish a toy": your boss, a client, your cat, whoever is raising your blood pressure. In about 3 minutes the photo becomes a chubby chibi 3D figurine you can squish all you like. No bosses harmed.

Easter eggs:

  • Squish 36 times in a day, then leave the desk alone for 5 seconds: a gust sweeps away every card and note, "I just hope today feels a little lighter for you" fades in, and kraft-paper tags with signed messages drift down to the only music the home screen ever plays. You squished them all day; now they cheer you up.
  • Click the Chinese character for "squish" in the title five times and the whole title faints, then picks itself up two seconds later.
  • After 10 p.m., only one last note falls: "That's all the nonsense for today."

There is nothing to download and no sign-in: open it in a browser on desktop or phone, WeChat included. The soft-body physics is homemade and rendering runs on WebGPU. Photos go 3D via Tripo and are deleted once used, so your boss will never know.

How Tripo was used

Tripo makes the squishable characters. It is one pipeline from upload to physics; without it there is no "drop a photo, squish a toy."

  • Photo characters: each photo goes through image-to-image (banana2, in a chubby ceramic style), then Tripo image-to-3D, and the resulting GLB goes straight into squishing, wobbling, tearing and blowing up.
  • Built-in characters: all seven were prebuilt the same way; both the built-ins and the photo characters use Tripo v3.
  • Division of work: emoji and drawings inflate locally, and the UI, physics and easter eggs were written by the author.
