Description

TIME GONE follows a young man pushed to the limit by overtime. He has no girlfriend and not much money, yet his job is tedious and demands long hours. On the eve of the Mid-Autumn Festival, a traditional Chinese holiday, his boss asks for yet another revision. He finishes it, drags his exhausted body home and sits down to dinner with his family, but the messages in his work group chat still weigh on him.

The team wants viewers to see something essential about life: our parents slowly grow old, and we may not have as long with them as we think. They were in their prime when we were born; by the time we turn 30, they have already stepped into old age. As the film's tagline puts it, we save our best for strangers and our worst temper for the people closest to us.

The film was made mainly with TapNow, which generated the characters, video and background music. Some content was generated with Jimeng AI and some images with GPT2.5, and the final cut was edited in Final Cut Pro. Along the way, the team also paired Tripo's 3D output with TapNow.

How Tripo was used

During AI video generation, the team linked Tripo's 3D results with TapNow, which saved them a lot of unnecessary hassle.
