Description

GO BIRDVERSE is a casual sci-fi game that blends real-world walks, AR bird quests, collecting and island building. You wake in 2046 as a planetary restorer and return to 2026 to gather records of birdlife and restore your future home. The author made it for fellow INFP dreamers and anyone longing for nature: it gives each walk something to anticipate, lets every repair leave a lasting trace, and turns an imagined little world into a home to care for.

Out in the real world, follow the map to quest trees to unlock plants and birds. Collected plants can be placed in AR, and some collected birds will fly onto your hand. Steps still earn seeds, which you can plant at a site of your choosing in 2046. Of the 48 bird species, 24 live on the island and 24 arrive through outdoor quests. Observe and photograph them with cameras and binoculars, and collecting becomes a way to learn about life.

On the island, repairing the wind-direction tower, the patrol airship and the island robot unlocks new activities. Fly the airship to the old station, repair Finch on the spot, then bring it aboard and fly home; walk with your dog or ride the robot around the island. A portable birding device links real birdsong, species identification and observation records. Low-poly islands, plants, retro machines and a field-journal guide create a warm future. Day and night can follow real time or be switched freely, and you set your own pace for repairing, photographing, planting and birdwatching.

On a computer it plays in the browser with no installation; the mobile AR mode requires iOS 17.0 or later and is installed through TestFlight. The whole game was designed and built from scratch during this Tripothon, including both the web and iOS versions.

How Tripo was used

Tripo is the core production tool for the game's 3D characters, props and plants.

  • Generation: the protagonist, the dog, the robots, the patrol airship and the plants were generated with Tripo, which also supported the character and animal animations.
  • Integration: the GLBs were refined in Blender for form, gait and motion, then brought into Three.js, where custom logic adds following, piloting, repairs, planting and companion interactions.
  • A small habitat on the street: in the streetside world generated with World Labs / Marble, Tripo characters with custom animation add feeding, falling grains and birds that approach and perch on Finch's hand, turning the generated space into a habitat to care for.
