Try it live Description
Rekindle: Spark's Journey is a gift for every artist who has wondered, lately, whether they are still needed. Its message is simple and too rarely said: a helper who gives the brush back to the artist is a true gift, because color only returns when artists pick up their tools again.
You play Spark, a small robot who arrives in Kindlevale after its colors have faded. He decides to help, collecting paint and bringing it back to Liza, the town's muralist, so Kindlevale can be colored again, one district at a time.
The experience is cozy and bright, set on a tiny walkable corner of a planet, with a day and night cycle, voiced characters, mini-games, hidden optional landmarks and an endless Splash Yard for players who want a challenge. It is also the author's love letter for Artists' Day on October 25.
The game is built with Three.js and Vite. Its shaders, water, game systems and animation editor were written for this project, with Claude Code as a coding assistant, and every voice, music track and sound effect was generated with ElevenLabs.
How Tripo was used
Tripo is the core of this world: every 3D model in the game was generated in Tripo.
- Every model: Spark, the townspeople, houses, landmarks, props, bots and the optional landmarks all come from Tripo.
- A part-segmentation pipeline: the author uses Tripo's part segmentation as a pipeline, mapping, recoloring and cel-shading each part.
- From gray to color: a custom shader then paints each model from gray to color.
