LiCO Desktop Focus Companion is a desk companion device that combines AI focus support, gamified growth and ambient lighting, made for anyone who reaches for their phone without thinking. Place your phone on LiCO to start a focus session; through its screen, lights and sensor feedback, the device shows your task, the time remaining and when you get distracted, helping you naturally cut down on phone interruptions.
At the heart of the hardware and software experience is LiCO the cat, who can do magic. Users earn Meow Coins by focusing in real life, and LiCO casts spells to turn their ideas into buildings and objects in a digital world. The hardware handles companionship, reminders and status feedback, while the app handles world building, records and review, character interaction and social sharing, so each focus session adds up to a digital experience you can keep and revisit.
Users can also enter the 3D world to explore what they have built, add objects and animated characters, and capture the scene as an image or GIF, turning personal focus into a light way to connect with others.
How Tripo was used
LiCO turns Tripo model generation into a reward for focusing.
- Focus for models: users complete real-world focus tasks, earn Meow Coins and spend them to add a new object to their little world. Each generated model becomes a visible result of the time they put in and stays in that world.
- Working with other tools: GPT generates the Three.js scene code for the environment, lighting, object layout and interaction; Tripo provides the 3D models users ask for; and Three.js loads them into the same world.
- Role in the work: Tripo is the core engine for LiCO's personalized 3D assets, letting the world keep gaining new decorations and objects without modeling each one by hand. Together with GPT and Three.js, it powers the loop of focus, reward, build and focus again.
