Description

Mighty Gladiators is a fantasy co-op action RPG for 1–4 players on PC, set in the Fallen Citadel. Choose one of four heroes and survive endless waves of enemies. Build your character through items, skills and talents, experiment with different builds, and face bosses with distinct mechanics. There is even PvP for players who want to take each other on.

It is a gift to the author's childhood friends and to the kid the author used to be. Growing up, they spent countless hours on Warcraft III custom maps and mods, and the author dreamed of making a game that could give them the same feeling: discovering a world together, trying one more build, staying for one more round. The author first tried 16 years ago and ended up with a single 3D model.

This time, work began on September 10, 2026, as a 2D game. A few days later the author discovered Tripo, switched to 3D, and then signed up for the hackathon. With Tripo, GPT-6 Astra and Three.js, the author built the game's foundation in 19 days. Co-op already works, but for now the author's own PC acts as the server; the author and three friends play and test together for hours every day. The demo submitted here is single-player only, even though the most fun is in co-op with friends.

Next, the author plans to host the game on a public server so anyone can play co-op with friends, and would love to try releasing it on Steam one day, as an experiment and a personal milestone. Animations come from Mixamo and the Quaternius and KayKit animation libraries, some skeleton characters and props come from KayKit and Quaternius packs, and the music and sound effects come from ElevenLabs and Pixabay. Mighty Gladiators is still an early work in progress, but it has already given the author what they hoped for as a kid: a world of their own to get lost in together.

How Tripo was used

Tripo is what turned Mighty Gladiators from a 2D plan into a 3D game.

  • The original plan: making every 3D asset by hand would have taken far too long, so the author first planned a 2D game. Then a friend showed the author Tripo, and everything changed.
  • What it made: the playable characters, bosses, weapons and environment assets were generated with Tripo.
  • The workflow: create a model in minutes, rig it in AccuRIG 2, refine it in Blender and import it into the game.
  • As a former 3D artist, the author says this completely changed what was possible: without Tripo, Mighty Gladiators would never have become a 3D game.
