Description

Triboo Boom is an online multiplayer bomb party game starring Triboo, the mascot of VAST, the team behind Tripo. The whole world is made of 54 playing cards: every card is a board, and the glass case at its centre holds that very card.

First, paint your Triboo in the workshop — one tap for a random look, or brush on your own colours and pick a finish (metal, glass, jelly, glow…) and a body type. Then step through a playing-card door: blow up crates, dodge traps and race everyone on the same board for the card in the case. Cards and figurines you pick up go to your collection room when you walk out of a door.

Doors link each card to its neighbours. Start from the four aces and work your way through the deck: later cards have bigger boards and more players, and the jokers are 8-player, 4-team brawls. The goal is the full deck and a place on the leaderboards. Each card can wear a different map skin (ink wash, impressionist, cel-shaded, neon rain…), the weather changes for the whole world at once, and the showcase is full of Triboo looks and map skins made by players.

macOS / Windows, played online; Practice on the main menu also works offline. Install notes are in README.txt inside the download.

Controls: WASD / arrow keys to move, Space to drop a bomb, Q to set a trap, Left Shift to melt an item for a bomb; stand on the glowing tile at a door for a moment to walk into the next card; when trapped, tap the arrows to struggle free, or press Space to spend a bomb breaking out; I for the collection room, M to mute, hold Tab for how to play, Esc for the menu. In the workshop, press R for a random look, or paint with the mouse.

How Tripo was used

Tripo is the content factory of this world.

  • 48 collectible figurines: every one generated with Tripo image-to-3D, then retextured with Tripo into silver and gold tiers. They come out of the crates and line up in your collection room.
  • World props: crates, collectible boxes, the glass case, traps and bombs are Tripo image-to-3D; structural pieces such as the case frame were modelled in Blender first and then retextured with Tripo.
  • Triboo: the arms, legs, fists and sneakers were generated with Tripo multiview from the official three views, rigged onto one shared skeleton and worn on every board; the accessories of the Triboo looks in the showcase (headwear, wings, shells…) are made with Tripo too.
  • Textures and art: floor tiles, skies, map skins, icons, the splash screen and the promo images come from image generation on the Tripo platform.

One person, three weeks, a whole 3D world.
