Pocket Planet: Roam takes players to a low-poly planet in a cyberpunk night. Fluorescent light drifts across the neon grasslands, pipes steam in the industrial oasis, and coral reefs breathe slowly in streams of data. Seven digital wonders are scattered around the islands; they are not the finish line but proof of the journey two people took together.
It is a gift for anyone who wants to go on an adventure together. Two players sit in front of the same screen, each with a controller, roaming the same world on their own. They cannot see each other's characters, so the coordinates and bearings in the top bar become the map they talk through: calling out positions, finding the way together and sharing the joy when a beacon pops up.
Three gameplay panels give the co-op a sense of ritual:
- Summary board: records the trail you have covered together.
- Speed race: turns collecting the wonders into a race.
- Beacon: makes every discovery a double surprise.
You can switch between day and night at any time to watch the neon sky and the warm daylight take turns over the islands, or switch to a high-detail cyberpunk planet with a million vertices and keep exploring a finer surface. With a PS5 DualSense controller, the light bar, haptics and adaptive triggers join in, making the controller an extension of the exploration.
How Tripo was used
Both the cyberpunk planet itself and the props across it were generated with Tripo.
